This kind of thing is not just happening in Wisconsin. It is happening in Ohio, Michigan and at least 18 other states with GOP-lead majorities. I think it is part of the extreme Right Wing’s plan to re-write the Social Compact to America and bring Her into a permanent one party system that founds on regressive policies and a Theocratic base. The things that these rogues are doing are definitely not The America I grew up with where there is Liberty and Justice for all. In this new vision of America, I believe there will be a division between “Real” America (Wealthy America) and the rest of us who are, somehow, un-American because we don’t share their viewpoint. It is dangerous!

There is also the matter of collective punishement. It is more than likely that Israel is hoping that the impoverishment of the residents of Gaza will a spur for them to turn their backs on Hamas. It is also likely that Israel wants to demonstrate to the residents of Gaza just how much their fate is dependent upon its good will. Israels’s insistence on controlling Gaza’s border with Egypt, whatever its security concerns, is a case in point. Israel’s strategy is designed to bring about the resignation of Palestinians in Gaza to their fate as well as to demonstrate the futility of continued resistence.

About the “likely meltdown”:
“Officials have said the reactor cooling system that failed after the quake at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is expected to return to normal soon, according to the Jiji Press news agency. The IAEA and officials have since this morning said there was no leak, nor leak risks. Le Monde and the BBC have trusted sources confirming this too. For the moment, there’s no evidence at all about a possible meltdown.

Just trying to scare people off writing unsourced shit, aren’t you? :-/
