Kagan confirmed as Supreme Court justice

Elena Kagan, President Obama’s nominee, was just confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be the successor of John Paul Stevens. The vote came down 63-37 in favor of Kagan, with all Democrats supporting her, except Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska.

Republicans mostly voted against her, because she might not be able to judge by the law, but by her liberal beliefs. Many think, that she is a political activist, who will abuse her new position to further her liberal agenda.

Yet we will have to wait how votes, before we predict anything, which might not happen.
